- BML is Robert Hood's (bhood@netcom.com) answer to ARexx Modeler scripting
- for the PC and Alpha version of LightWave. Through a language similar to
- Rexx, C and C++, you can do just about everything you could do with Modeler
- that you could coding in C or C++ but many times easier. In addition, BML
- scripts can be compiled and distributed so you can protect your handywork
- and even sell it (you'd need the BML run-time version to run compiled BML
- scripts)!
-
- BML will be a commercial product (saw the first ad in the latest VTU). $300
- gets you both BML and the BML compiler/run-time. Otherwise, it's $200 each
- (BML or BML compiler/run-time).
-
- Wonder on over to ftp.netcom.com:/pub/bh/bhood for some BML script source to
- see what they look like and then grab the run-time plug-in and compiled BML
- scripts.
-
- My thanks go to Bob for putting BML together and filling in a great void for
- us PC (and Alpha) folk that don't have IPC ala ARexx. Though I am a C/C++
- programmer, putting things together in BML is pretty darn quick and easy. I
- wish him great success!
